Creamy ACE Samp

Creamy ACE Pap

Indulge in the velvety smoothness of Creamy ACE Pap, a South African favourite made from maize meal, perfect for pairing with savoury stews or enjoyed as a comforting dish on its own.
Ingredients

Yield: 6 portions  

  • 525 g ACE Maize Meal
  • 2 sachet Benny Stock Powder 
  • 2.25 l Hot water
  • 375 ml Cream
  • 150 g Butter, chopped
  • 150 g Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Tomato relish:

  • 1 can Master Chef Spicy Pap Relish
     
Method
  1. Bring chicken stock to the boil in a saucepan. 
  2. Mix the ACE Maize Meal with cream to form a paste, add to Benny Chicken Stock, reduce the heat and stir constantly, using a whisk, for 4-5 minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in the butter, Parmesan, salt and pepper.
  4. For the tomato relish; simply heat Master Chef Pap Relish and serve.

Tip:

Deep fry some basil to use as garnish.  Deep frying the basil will help ensure the longevity of the basil and prevent it from going limp.
