Ingredients
Yield: 240 portions
- 16000 ml Water
- 250 g Fine Salt
- 6000 g Tastic Parboiled Rice
Optionally to spice up your Tastic Rice:
Lemon and herb:
- 40 g Lemon zest
- 100 g Mixed dried herbs or fresh Thyme
Turmeric Rice:
- 45 g Butter or Ghee
- 50 g Turmeric ground
- 40 g Fresh or ground Ginger
- 30 g Fresh or ground Garlic
- TT Salt
- TT Ground Black pepper
* Bulk recipe for buffets or bulk prepping pre-service
* Adapt the size of the recipe to the biggest pot in your kitchen, remember the larger the pot the longer it will take to cook
Method
- Prepare Ingredients: Measure and add all the ingredients to your pot or rice cooker.
- Bring to Boil: Bring the water to a rolling boil.
- Simmer: Once boiled, reduce the heat to low and simmer with the lid on for 50 minutes.
- Check for Doneness: Periodically check if the rice is cooked to your desired level of tenderness.
- Serve: Once the rice is perfectly cooked and fluffy, transfer it into a serving pan using a large spoon or scoop.
